Okay, challenge noted. I will think for myself…aloud and on this blog.
Over the last year I realized that I may want to write a book about iconic women. It just depends on you.
After years of start and stop fiction and poetry submissions, there is something else that I’ve always wanted to research and write about: powerful female icons as role models.
I’m still working out the details but I know from interviewing & surveying hundreds of young women that they idolize the sophisticated Coco and Grace’s to the clever Katherine & Audrey Hepburn’s to the media minded and socially conscious Oprah & Ellen’s and let’s not forget the immortal Cleopatra. She still reigns at the top among the 10 Most Fascinating Women in History.
No matter what generation we’re born into, women look to women they admire as visionaries and guides for their own lives.
So I may jump off the fiction and poetry train for a while and stand at the platform of another station to head out into a new direction.
Maybe I’ll see you at the station. Maybe not. We’ll see who meets me there.
